a.camelleDESIGN is a boutique design firm comprised of three divisions of service: INNERVISIONS (Fine Art), INK (Graphic Design), and INTERIORS (Interior Design). We strive to bring artful, thoughtful design to every project---designs that target the client’s vision, while adding unique, artistic touches to make each design a one-of-a-kind. We take design personal, meaning we tackle each and every project as if we were doing it for ourselves. Our goal is to create artwork that you'll be in love with each and every time you lay your eyes on it. Graphic design materials that speak for you and uphold the reputation you've created. And interior spaces that you feel comfortable in, are continuously amazed by, and can't wait to come home to each and every day!
Regardless of which division of service, a.camelleDESIGN strives to capture the individual personality, style, and vision of each client, and create finished products that emulate their essence.
Amy is from Tamina, a small neighborhood just north of Houston, TX. Raised by her grandparents, she is an old soul, with a foundation deeply rooted in faith and family. Her love of art and creative endeavors began within an innocent pastime, coloring in a coloring book. Being raised by her grandparents, she spent a great deal of her childhood often entertaining herself by getting lost and immersed in coloring...soon creating her own works of art when her creative skills began to develop.
She is a graduate of The University of Texas at Austin (hook 'em) with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and minor in Fine Arts. After college, Amy began a career in Physical Therapy, and then moved into corporate America, where she spent over a decade. Known for rarely arriving early, her life took several detours but her perpetual love of art, architecture, and design eventually led life's path back to pursuing her original passion. She is a primarily self-taught visual artist, but has pursued additional post-secondary education to enhance her graphic design and interior design skills.
Amy's personal design style is contemporary/mid-century modern with touches of vintage eclectic. She loves tranquil spaces with pops of color, texture, strong artwork, and collected objects. She's admittedly obsessed with music, the color black, brown kraft paper, and leather goods. These favored things tend to lead to inspiration and often show up in her artwork, designs, clothing and personal decorating choices.
When asked about the unconventional route to where she finds herself today, she labels herself as "a work in progress---better late than never. And hopefully, the best is yet to come!" paying homage to one of her favorite scriptures, Philippians 1:6.
Love, peace & soul,
Amy Camelle
